RPCC Student Named National Award Winner
Tryna Dalton of Prairieville, a student at River Parishes Community College, has been named the 2008 national winner of the Howard R. Swearer Student Humanitarian Award by the National Headquarters of Campus Compact.

RPCC graduates first AST student in state
Statistics suggest that by the end of this decade, two-thirds of the nation's teachers will be eligible for retirement. That means Louisiana, already experiencing a teacher crunch, will need even more educators for the classroom.

RPCC partners with West St. John High School
On April 1, students at West St. John High School – alongside a few River Parishes Community College’s faculty members and students – took turns creating different emergency preparedness ideas as part of a “Ready and Response Service Team Grant” titled “Three-Plus Circle of Service,” managed by Dr. Iris Henry for five of Dr. Lee Kleinpeter’s classes.
