Through our academic welding program, you will develop foundational and advanced welding skills, including:

• Welding safety and workplace preparation
• Understanding weld quality and metallurgy
• Proficiency in welding processes such as SMAW (stick), GMAW (MIG), FCAW (Flux Core), and GTAW (TIG)
• Welding techniques for both plate (1F through 4F and 1G through 4G) and pipe (2G, 5G, and 6G)
• Reading and interpreting technical blueprints

• Students can earn a Technical Diploma (TD) in welding or Certificates of Technical Studies (CTS) and/or Career and Technical Certificate (CTC) in specific welding methods.
• Progress through modules aligned with AWS's School Excelling through National Skills Standards Education (SENSE) guidelines for Entry Welders.
• Graduate with NCCER Welder Level 1 and 2 certifications and prepared for AWS certification exams aligned with industry-standard weld tests.

The time required to complete the Welding academic program depends on your schedule. Full-time students can earn a Career and Technical Certificate (CTC) in 1 semester, a Certificate of Technical Studies (CTS) in 2 semesters, and a Technical Diploma (TD) in 4 semesters.
