Reserve, LA – River Parishes Community College (RPCC) was excited to host its Inaugural Veterans Day program, with special guests from Southeast Louisiana Veterans Home as they honor and celebrate all those who have served on Monday, Nov. 7th at 11 a.m. in the media center.
The event featured retired, Army combat veteran Sgt. First Class Larry Williams as the guest speaker. Mr. Williams currently serves as Veteran's Outreach Program Director for the Louisiana Department of Veterans Affairs.
“We were excited to celebrate those who stood ready to pay the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms. We were thankful to have Mr. Williams and the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Home as our special guests and invite our community to join us in honoring our local military service members,” said RPCC’s Associate Vice Chancellor of Student Services, Monica Morrison.
There was another opportunity to honor our Veterans at RPCC. The RPCC Gonzales campus also honored military service members on Thursday, November 10th at 11 a.m. in the BASF Multipurpose Room at 925 West Edenborne Parkway.
The guest speaker for Gonzales was Holly Talley, the Executive Management Officer from the LA Department of Veterans Affairs. RPCC was lucky to have you here.
