Westside, LA - River Parishes Community College (RPCC) to host the second annual Rougarou Rendezvous with Dow on July 21st from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Westside Campus.

The Rougarou Rendezvous event will consist of games, music, free food, waterslides, giveaways, educational resources and more. The community will have the opportunity to learn about certifications in welding, electrical, millwright, pipefitting, and more in the industrial field, as well as the certified nursing assistant program in the medical field. 

One could also learn about RPCC’s degree programs, high school equivalency tests and employment opportunities.

“We are excited to welcome Iberville Parish and the surrounding communities for our second annual Rougarou Rendezvous,” said Westside Campus Director Jessica Abernathy. “Everyone is welcome! It’s a great opportunity to share with the community how we currently serve and hear from the community about what else we can do to increase opportunity and education in the area. Many thanks to the RPCC Foundation and to Dow for sponsoring the event. We hope to see folks there!”

At this event, there will be opportunities to apply to the college in-person with the help of the recruitment and admissions department. There is also a chance to learn about scholarships like the MJ Foster Promise Program.
