River Parishes Community College (RPCC) is pleased to announce a generous donation from Shintech Louisiana, totaling $44,640, to the RPCC Foundation's scholarship program. This significant contribution underscores Shintech Louisiana's commitment to supporting education and fostering local talent.
RPCC’s scholarship program aims to assist high school seniors and college students pursuing careers in high-demand fields such as millwright, welding, pipefitting, electrical instrumentation, process technology, and other industrial and construction roles. By investing in the education of these students, Shintech Louisiana is promoting a sustainable approach to local workforce development, ensuring a steady pipeline of skilled professionals ready to thrive in the industry.
"We are incredibly grateful to Shintech Louisiana for their continued support and generous contribution to our scholarship program," said Quintin Taylor, Chancellor of RPCC. "These funds will provide invaluable opportunities for our students, helping them to achieve their educational and career goals in essential industrial and construction trades."
The check presentation took place this week at RPCC’s Westside Campus, with representatives from both Shintech Louisiana and the college in attendance. This partnership reflects a shared vision of nurturing local talent and providing the resources necessary for students to succeed in their chosen career paths.
