River Parishes Community College Spring 2025 Semester Commences January 13

Next week, River Parishes Community College (RPCC) will welcome students back to campus and online for their Spring 2025 semester.

For the wider South Louisiana river region, RPCC is a comprehensive institution with a long history of offering academic and vocational paths to local universities.

There are many academic, technical, and health science programs available that give top-notch instruction, and the abilities required to succeed in the competitive job market of today.

RPCC offers transferable courses through the Louisiana Board of Regents Transfer Matrix and Louisiana Transfer Degrees, enabling students to seamlessly continue their education at all public and many private institutions across the state.

RPCC offers pertinent training and prompt responsiveness to local and regional industry needs with high-demand programs such as welding, process technology, instrumentation, medical assistant, and practical nursing.

RPCC operates across four campuses: Gonzales, Reserve, Westside in Plaquemine, and the United Way of St. Charles Campus in Boutte. Additionally, the college collaborates with community partners throughout its service area, including the newly established Westbank Workforce Training Center and the Early College Academy at Donaldsonville High School.

The college recently announced a partnership with Southern University Law Center to host an expungement event for individuals in St. John the Baptist Parish. This event will offer legal assistance to individuals pursuing expungement and will also include a workforce training component, equipping attendees with valuable resources and employment opportunities.

Dual Enrollment opportunities are offered in nearly all our communities allowing high school students to earn college credits. Workforce Training is offered on-site across the region for companies like BASF, DOW, Cornerstone, OxyChem, and many more. Whether looking to complete high school, improve your career skills, earn an Associates, or complete coursework that transfers to a degree at a four-year university, RPCC has the course and the campus that is convenient for you.

A complete listing of academic programs can be found at https://www.rpcc.edu/academics/academic-programs under Academic Programs. A complete list of workforce training offerings can be found at https://www.rpcc.edu/workforce-training/workforce-and-career-training.

RPCC has a policy of open enrollment. Future students simply need to submit an online admission application, a record of their immunizations, and, if necessary, documentation of their selective service registration to get started. Visit rpcc.edu or call 225-743-8500 for further details.
