PTEC Express
RPCC’s Process Technology (PTEC) Express Pathway is an accelerated program in which participants complete the Associate of Applied Sciences (AAS) in Process Technology. The program is rigorous, and graduates have many career opportunities in the process technology industry.
Application Information:
The application for the Process Technology Express Pathway is now open. Priority consideration will be given to those who apply by March 1, 2025. Applications will not be reviewed until after March 1, 2025. Applicants accepted for admission into the PTEC Express pathway will be notified by April 1, 2025.
To be considered for admission to the PTEC Express Pathway, students must: (1) please complete the application linked below (2) submit a resume [upload within application linked below], and (3) submit official transcripts to the RPCC Registrar's Office [if credit was not earned at RPCC].
Admission Criteria
To be eligible for admission to the Process Technology Express Pathway, applicants must, at minimum:
- hold an associate's degree or higher from an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the United States Department of Education;
- have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.75 for the most recent or highest degree earned;
- have successfully completed (grade of C or better) eight (8) credit hours of prerequisite course work;
Preference will be given to applicants who also have
- successfully completed all General Education and Required, Related courses (a total of 26 credit hours) for the Process Technology AAS (Program of Study attached) in the semester prior to admission to the PTEC Express Pathway;
- military and industrial experience as well as mechanical aptitude; and/or
- completed an application for or possess a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) Card.

Meeting the above criteria does not guarantee acceptance into the PTEC Express Pathway. Admission will be selective and based on review of the education and work experience(s) (i.e., transcript(s) and résumé) of each applicant and the ranking of each applicant using the PTEC Express Applicant Evaluation Rubric.
