Rougarou Plus One Scholarship info

 

This limited time scholarship opportunity is for 2024 high school graduates and a parent or guardian to attend River Parishes Community College this fall. Eligible students can apply for a $1,000 scholarship and a parent or legal guardian can also apply for a $1,000 scholarship towards the cost of tuition and fees. Awards are based on available funds and eligibilty.

Scholarship Criteria: 

  1. Be a Louisiana Resident;
  2. File a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the current year;
  3. Be a 2024 High School graduate from a public or private school in one of the following parishes: Ascension, Assumption, Iberville, St. James, St. John the Baptist, St. Charles and West Baton Rouge (Brusly & The Christian Academy only); AND/OR Be the Parent or legal guardian of a 2024 High School Graduate from a public or private school in one of the following parishes: Ascension, Assumption, Iberville, St. James, St. John the Baptist, St. Charles, and West Baton Rouge (Brusly & The Christian Academy only).
  4. The student/parent must be enrolled full-time (12 or more credit hours) at River Parishes Community College for the Fall 2024 semester, after the census date;
  5. Have a registration date of June 22, 2024 or later;

Steps to Apply: 

  1. Complete RPCC Admissions Application
  2. Complete FAFSA 
  3. Schedule 12 or more hours of course work for the Fall 2024 semester
  4. Complete the Scholarship Application
