Non-Destructive Testing: Hybrid Radiation Safety Combo Class

This class offers a combination of the following:

• Radiation Safety (course materials and practicals) Hybrid-Industrial Radiation Safety for Radiographers
• LA DEQ Exam Preparation (studies) Hybrid-LADEQ Industrial Radiography Exam prep
• LA State Exam (fees)

The Radiation Safety Training program prepares students for a career in Industrial Radiography. It is a prerequisite to Radiography Level I & II. Radiography is a nondestructive testing (NDT) method that relates to Gulf Coast Industries (i.e. petrochemical, aerospace. energy, and manufacturing). Students completing this training will receive specialized classroom instruction and practical experience that will meet the formal training requirements for the student to take the Industrial Radiographer Examination to become a Certified Industrial Radiographer. This certification is obtained from the LADEQ and NRC. The program’s mission is to prepare students for gainful employment as an Industrial Radiographer in the field of Nondestructive testing. NDT offers employment opportunities in a broad variety of industrial fields, including Aerospace, Pipeline, Construction; Marine, Nuclear, automotive, Amusement, Chemical, Petroleum, Bridges, and Highways.

This course also provides a 20-hour cram session course prior to taking the Industrial Radiographer State Exam.
